La importancia del inglés en la infancia.

       

Es por todos sabido que en los primeros años de vida de un niño, el cerebro es como una esponja. Además, el aprendizaje de otro idioma como el inglés, no solo ayuda a desarrollar la atención, sino que ayuda a ejercitar la memoria de los pequeños. 

Mi experiencia me habla de la importancia de aprender a través de la diversión, cuánto más si hablamos del aprendizaje e inmersión en otro idioma.
 Los cuatro procesos que intervienen en el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua son, en primer lugar, escuchar, comprender y hablar; y en último lugar, leer y escribir.

            Una buena manera para empezar en este nuevo y mágico mundo de sonidos que les causa a nuestros pequeños mucha curiosidad, es a través de las canciones. La música se caracteriza por el ritmo y la rima, las cuales favorecen en el niño el recordar mucho mejor las cosas.

            Hablarles desde pequeños también les favorece en gran medida, pues ver a sus mamis y sus papis interactuando en otro idioma puede ser enriquecedor para cualquier miembro de la familia, así como crear más complicidad entre los vínculos, además de motivador. 

Los pequeños asimilan con más facilidad el proceso de comunicación en otro idioma de esta forma. Pero, ¡mami, papi! que no os preocupe que el niño no conteste o diga palabras en inglés. 

Cada cual tiene su propio ritmo y desarrollo para experimentar su aprendizaje. Es contraproducente intentar obligarles a que contesten en inglés si no es su deseo. Ellos lo hacen cuando se sienten preparados.

            Finalmente decir que el uso de juegos también es fundamental para nuestros pequeños en la adquisición del inglés, ya que aprenden sin darse cuenta y divirtiéndose. Un buen juego por el que comenzar es con la imitación de animales, ya sabéis que a ellos les encanta las voces de los animales y jugar con mami y papi haciendo el “monkey”  tiene risas y aprendizaje asegurado.

           

The importance of English during childhood

            It is known that brain is like a sponge the first years of child. Besides, the learning of English as a second language not only helps to develop attention but also helps to train child´s memory. My experience tells me about the importance of learnig through fun, even more if we talk about the learning or immersion in other language.

            There are four processes that take part in the acquisition of a second language. First, listening, comprehension and speaking and lastly, reading and writing.

            A good way to begin in this new and magic world of sounds which causes curiosity to our little children is through songs. Music is caracterized by rythm and rhyme which favour them to remember things better.

            Speaking to them since they are babies favour them to a great extent, considering that seeing their moms and dads speaking in other language can be enriching for any family member, as well as     the increasing of mutual understanding, besides motivation. But mom and dad! Do not worry if the child do not answer or says nothing in English. It is counter productive try to force them if it is not their desire to answer in English. They do it when they are ready.

            Finally just to say that the use of games is fundemantal for the adquisition of English since they learn without realizing and having fun. A good game to start is with the imitation of animals. You already know that they enjoy with these sounds and playing with mom and dad as monkeys will ensure your lots of laughs and learning.
